CROSSING THE RUBICON
The year is 1985. An army of young Americans are kicking around Italy during the Reagan years. There is no war. There is no left bank. In fact there is no reason for them to be there at all. But they are all looking for something. No one really knows what. A lost generation on travelers checks.
In the sleepy northern Italian town of Ferrara, two college friends meet for one last hurrah before getting on with the rest of their lives. And like last call in a bar, they’ll go just about anywhere for a drink. In pursuing their dreams of adventure and conquest and spurred on by the feeling that their youth, like the summer, is slipping away, they are led to the ends of the earth only to fall off.
Set in the 80’s in Italy and Germany, "Crossing the Rubicon", is a modern day tale of yearning and wanderlust in the cinematic tradition of "Easy Rider".

l'anno e 1985. Un esercito di giovani Americani stanno in Italia durante gli anni di Reagan. Non c’é una Guerra da combattere, ne la riva droit di Hemingway per nascondersi. Non c’é nessun motivo per esserci. Ma stanno tutti alla ricerca di qualcosa, e nessuno sa che cosa.
Nella cittadina settentrionale di Ferrara, due amici di college s’incontrano per un ultima festa prima di riprendere il cammino verso la vita d’adulto. E come festeggianti di Ferragosto d’avanti l'alba, faranno di tutto per continuare la festa. Seguendo i loro sogni di gloria, e cosciente dal fatto che l'estate sta fiendo e la loro gioventù se ne sta andando, arriveranno alla fine del mondo…e oltre.
Ambientato negli anni 80 in Italia e Germania, "Rubicon Est" e una storia moderna di gioventù bruciata e inquietudine nella tradizione di "Easy Rider".
